Scyllaine "Scy" Wistoll

Before falling to the Plague as it ravaged Lordaeron, Scyllaine was a woman of average beauty serving in the guard and doing rather well at it.  She had a biting tongue and could hold her own well against the men that tried to bat her down and aside for being a woman.  When the Plague came, she was one of the last to fall to it - even surviving her parents and older sister, though somewhere her young brother possibly still survives.

Upon awaking from the horror that was the Scourge, she found that her vocal cords had not survived the change from human to this undeath, leaving her only able to speak in grunts and garbled noises.  This caused her some difficulty in adjusting to her new life but she managed to work around it and figured out a way to communicate even with her disability.  She is still sometimes failed to be understood but she deals with that as she can, tending to be as silent as she can possibly be.

FIC: Through the Dark Portal

Karre Melithis

She stands tall and proud, her hazel eyes darting suspiciously from face to face of those in front of her. At age twenty-five, she is an uneasy figure and if pressed hard enough, one might end up with her daggers in their gut. Scars from harsh encounters hide mostly underneath her clothes but there is one jagged slash that marrs her left cheek in a vertical scar that looks like its maker almost blinded her.

Born in Outlands from two members of the Alliance Expedition that was sent through before the Dark Portal closed. She grew up in Honor Hold until her parents - a paladin and priestess respectively - were slain by demons when she was eight years old. After this event, she was sent to the orphanage in Shattrath City until she turned eighteen and left.

During her time in the city, she came to respect an aged Draenei warrior that visited the children of the orphanage every day and told them stories. She took to his stories more fiercely than any other and four years later he could not resist her plea for training when she realized what truly had happened to her parents and began to burn with the need for revenge. He taught her to fight and use weapons only; it was she that taught herself the ways of the rogue.

When the Dark Portal reopened, she found herself drawn to the world her parents had been forced to leave. She began a new life there, hoping that perhaps this place was free from the demons that she had grown up despising with her entire being. When she discovered that it was not free of them, she set out on the task to begin slaying any demon she could come across on her parents world.

All she has ever had in life were her parents and the Draenei warrior who told her stories. All of them are lost to her now as well with her parents deaths long ago and the warrior's death just after she crossed through the Dark Portal. As such...even the most dire of paths are ones she is willing to walk down.

Necronim

Necronim: this is the only name anyone knows him by. Anyone else that might have known it are, as he says, "Long been dust and are better off for it." His real name is thus lost to the pages of history, forgotten by time, people, and even himself.

After being awakened from the nightmare of the Scourge, he cast aside everything he had been before...including his name and the man he had been. All that IS known of him is that he was barely twenty when taken by the plague, though his appearance now echoes that not at all.

Hresden Sylindaal

At a mere forty years old, he stands tall and proud, his short brown hair swept back from his face in messy spikes. Usually he’s a cheerful fellow with a small smile on his face but can be sarcastic when he wishes. There is also a temper underneath his exterior and things tend to get set on fire when it is riled.

A true High Elf, he followed his elder sister Lymalis from Theramore to the ranks of the Horde when she succumbed to their addiction to magic and was cast out. He is immensely loyal to her and justly so since she raised him after the death of their mother – their father is an unknown who disappeared during his sister’s youth. Since he followed her, he is considered as much of an outcast as she is.

Being a magic user, he maintains a careful control over his addiction as he was taught through meditation – one can find him sometimes just sitting against a tree in the wild or in some secluded corner of any Horde city. He continually tries to help his sister and feels horrified as he fails each time – wondering why he, who uses magic, feels nothing, and his sister, who doesn’t touch magic for the most part, falls so easily.

His loyalty lies solely with his sister and spreads to those she allies herself with. If someone betrays her, they betray him – and usually end up on the wrong end of a fireball because of it. As such he is now a loyal member of the Horde alongside his sister and their brethren.

Lymalis Sylindaal "Exiled Huntress"

Just scarcely eighty-four years of age, she is a tall and regal looking elf. Her crimson hair is shorn short as that is easier to deal with than long hair though it does still fall into her bright green eyes at times.

Formerly a High Elf of Theramore before she succumbed to her hunger for magic a matter of only five years ago; whereupon she was proclaimed a Blood Elf and cast out by those High Elves there. She controls her addiction better now but it is a difficult task even though she isn’t a magic user. Her only regret in succumbing to it and moving to the ranks of the Horde is that her younger brother, Hresden, followed her there without so much as a complaint. And justly so since she raised him after their mother’s death.

She travels always with her companion, Kydah, and the big cat is usually never far from her friend’s side.

Alisadegeta "Alisa" Bloodwolf

The sister of druid, Carentareta Bloodwolf, younger by several years. Despite their mother's wishes for her to stay amongst the safety offered in Mulgore, she took up the training of a warrior in secret. When their mother finally discovered the deception and began a screaming fit over it, Alisa left. Just like her sister she wanted to fight - although she chose a more suitable way to do it than her elder, she thinks.

Her only issue besides her mother's thinking she could run her youngest daughters life is with the Forsaken. She simply cannot comprehend their existence nor her sisters simple acceptance of them.

Carentareta "Caren" Bloodwolf

Tall as most Tauren and dark of fur with hazel eyes that look with favor on her allies and hatred on her enemies.

She is Druid trained but certainly not one to stay in the safety of Mulgore as her mother might have wished. Instead she went out looking for battle and fights as best she can as circumstances allow. Her actions inspired her younger sister, Alisadegeta, to follow in her footsteps to battle as well, though in a better position to fight as a warrior.

Her father, a hunter, was killed by three humans as he took her hunting zhevra in the Barrens years ago when she had just begun her training. As such, she has a strong hatred for them and will often make attempts to kill them on-sight.
