( Kara woke as Carus shifted restlessly next to her, his arm tightening where it gripped under her breasts. She looked down at him and found him staring wide-eyed at nothing, his face pressed to the bare skin of her shoulder, sweat beading on his forehead. His wings spasmed across their spooned bodies, as they always did since it was nigh impossible for him to sleep on his back, and she reached up to touch his cheek. )

A sequel to I'm No Angel

( Kara, no longer the skinny girl of thirteen he’d dragged out of a burning building, frowned and brushed her auburn hair back out of her eyes. She frowned and sucked in a breath then let it out in an annoyed puff of air. Carus’ eyes darted towards her then, watching the sudden rise and fall of her ample chest with all the pleasure of a male. He didn’t make any attempts at hiding his looking and her scowl told him that she knew it. )

( The girl, barely over thirteen and all skinny limbs, pouted and crossed her arms over her flat chest. He glanced at her out of the corner of his eyes then sighed, wondering just what the hell he was doing. All he'd meant to do was rob the building and burn it to the ground after to destroy the evidence - having his conscience attack him and force him to rescue this girl from the fire wasn't in the plans. )
