Pain.

Pain, pain, pain, pain!

Lucia gritted her teeth over a scream as her body doubled over, trying to curl into as small a spot as it could.  Muscles burned underneath her feverish skin and she could feel the beast twisting inside.  It stretched for a moment, testing her, and she whipped upright in response as her flesh swelled then settled again.

Two years…

For two years she had fought it and had lost – as she knew she would. Now the beast was coming out with or without her yea or nay and it would do so in its own time. How much pain it put her through didn’t matter to it.

After all, it was a monster.

She felt it twist again and forced herself to her feet as she felt cold and hot all at once. Then her entire body pulsed with the fever, skin dripping rivulets of sweat, and she groaned as she ached with a sudden lust that nearly sent her to her knees. Struggling through it, she fell against a wall to stay upright and pressed her forehead against it, panting.

The beast stretched again and she watched her right arm ripple, skin stretching as muscles swelled into thick, hard knots and claws burst from underneath her fingernails. After a moment of staring at it, she realized it wasn’t going to revert back to her arm – the true part of the transformation from human to monster had begun.

Tears pricked her eyes then the lust hit again, this time in a surge that made her scream. Staggering away from the wall, she managed to make it across the room to her excuse for a bed that was only just a mattress on the floor. As she collapsed onto it face first, the slow spread of dark reddish-gold hair had begun along her right arm, coming in at random then slithering along like some furry snake.

Groaning, she closed her eyes then bucked into the bed as the lust surged again, burning through her like a fire. Screaming into her pillow, she felt as though the beast was staring at her, waiting to see what she would do.

Twisting over onto her back then sitting up, Lucia hurriedly began to undress as her skin felt like it was starting to stretch again. The clothes weren’t the best but they were hers, damnit, and she wasn’t going to lose them. But as her shirt brushed over her breasts, she screamed and cried all at once as the lust hit again so hard that it hurt. She collapsed back onto the bed panting and must have lost consciousness, because the next thing she knew, someone was pulling off her pants.

Lust surged through her again and again as warm hands touched her carefully – warm hands she knew. Hands she had once welcomed to touch her…but no more.

Screaming upright, she lashed out at Kendin, drawing four deep scars across his face with her new claws. He fell back cursing then glared at her with his sea-colored eyes aglow, the iris’ turned amber and his beast roaring behind them.

“Bad puppy,” he growled. “I just want to help.”

Lucia sneered and spat at him for that.

“I don’t want your help! Now get out!”

“Oh but, puppy…”

“Get out, get out! Get out! GET. OUT!”

She screamed it until her voice was raw - until the beast howled within and the lust consumed her, leaving her writhing on the bed. But the moment Kendin tried to touch her, she came at him in a fury and he fell back.

Yet he stayed and watched and waited…and when she was truly lost in it and moaning pitifully, he inched towards her. Slowly he ran one hand up her leg, tracing an old burn on her thigh, then ran his fingers up along her navel to her breasts. As he touched them, she arched up with a groan and he smiled as he heard the beast in it. This was just what he had wanted when he had bitten her…

Grinning, he ran his hand back down her body past her navel then began to drift lower…

“FUCK YOU!” spat Lucia, lifting a leg to kick him away. The thrust of it was powerful as the change was fully on her now, her body still human outside but already becoming more powerful within, and he went crashing into a wall across the room. She then smiled at him, which had something of her bitterness and the beast’s feral nature in it, and lifted her left, unchanged hand. “Fuck you, Kendin. You will never touch me again.”

He started to come rushing back across the room at her but was dumbstruck as her hand slid down to where his had been going. The scent of her nearly drove him back and he involuntarily changed as she began to arch on the bed in the throes of pleasure. Sniffing towards her, he bared his teeth in a smile and nuzzled her thigh with his nose before resting the big, wolfish head of his form across her belly. Fully occupied, she couldn’t do a damned thing but he knew she felt him – the rage in her eyes made that clear.

Pain then pleasure.

Pain, pain, pleasure.

Pleasure, pain, pleasure.

An endless cycle until it came to an end. Lucia was lost in it, her body twisting and shifting even as she let her fingers and the lust work her into a feverish state of near-madness.

Her chest swelled with muscle then fur spread across it, hiding her breasts from sight.

She felt the muscles in her legs bunch and swell into thick, powerful cords even as the bones in the lower leg snapped before shifting to reform them into wolfish limbs.

The vertebrae in her spine crackled and she arched her back against both that an in pleasure in one screaming moment as the bones extended, giving her a tail.

Her left arm began to change as well but the claws on it stayed sheathed even as her fingers changed, becoming longer and more nimble. The surge of lust left her panting then her new, nimble fingers sated it and she writhed on the bed, totally unaware of Kendin now.

The fur slowly began to spread up her neck until it covered her face, her hair being drawn into it and turning into a thick mane around her neck. Bones broke and shifted then as her skull transformed: ears grew pointed and move to the top of her head as her nose grew to combine with her jaw, which stretched out before her. Fangs burst from her gums as her flat teeth withdrew and she screamed in pain for a moment before the pleasure took hold again.

Eventually she could not help but to collapsed flat, chest heaving. The beast within growled but…she was still in control. She still felt…human. This fact shocked Lucia then she yelped, howling out as the pleasure took her again.

And she realized that for the last part of her transformation, a naked and human Kendin had been crouched over her as he was now. She tried to rise, to swipe at him, but he dodged then sent her careening into it again and again with his deft fingers.

“Oh, puppy, you are beautiful,” he murmured. “Now do you know? Do you know how hard it is to hold to your humanity?”

Lucia groaned then tried to focus even as her mind rebelled against it. She focused on herself as she had been what seemed hours before and did so with as much power as she could. And she felt…she felt something shift…

Kendin gasped as she was suddenly human underneath him and was smiling coldly at her, her eyes frosty.

“It was pain,” she hissed as her head lolled back with a groan of pleasure. “But I told you, didn’t I?”

Abruptly she surged into motion, legs now powerful even without the beastial form sending him flying away from her through a window. Lucia smiled and sat up, tilting her head at it almost curiously, then she stood. She drew the curtains then moved a bookcase nearby over the shattered window, sure that Kendin would not try to return now.

Returning to her bed, she lay back down and felt her skin tingle all over. The beast grumbled inside her then curled up, making grumpy little noises as she made a prod or two at it. Smiling, Lucia drew the covers up over her body and whispered, “There is always hope even for the hopeless,” to the empty room.

“I am a monster,” she continued with a sad smile.

“But I will be as human as I can remain as one.”
