It took Elumiel a moment to register what the Blood Elf male was holding out. When it finally clicked in her head, her eyes widened, and the tears threatened to well up again. "My father's ring!" she exclaimed. "Where...where did you find it?" she asked, hurriedly wiping away the few tears that managed to spill down her cheeks. "I was so worried I'd lost it for good," she stammered, reaching out for it with shaking hands.
"I'm sorry... is she yours?" she asked him, gesturing toward the cat. "What did you say her name was... Kydah? That's a lovely name," she said, smiling hesitantly. "I'm sorry, but you look familiar. Weren't you... sitting on top of the signpost earlier?" she asked, frowning slightly as she tried to make his features out in the blur. Absently, she offered Kydah another drink of water.
She could tell he was examining her, but for what purpose, she couldn't really guess. Probably to figure out exactly how drunk she was. Or why she was sitting practically on top of a roaring bonfire. Quite likely even both. She figured it was fairly obvious that she'd been drinking heavily. Grimacing, she took another long drink of water, and, on looking at it to discover it was empty, she summoned more, hearing the satisfying sound of water rushing to fill the space.
